I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at USS California Builders (Stanton, CA) in Dec 2015
Interview
Company is located in Stanton so the neighborhood is a bit run down. Didn't know if I was at the correct location. Met with business development, VP and Owner. They asked about my experience. I came from a great company so they were very interested in hiring me. They asked me about my background, my technical experience and previous job sites. They asked what my salary requirements were and how much I could estimate per week. Other than the oddly casual work environment, I wouldn't have thought that this place would be the worst job experience of my life.

Interview
very quick and detailed, the people whom would ultimately make the decision where in the interview so there was no need for a second interview. I received an acceptable office within a couple of days.

Interview
Found job posting online. Preliminary phone screening (tell me about yourself, what are your salary requirements). Scheduled for in person interview a week later.
That's where things went south. Whoever set up the interview clearly does not talk to the actual interviewer. For example, says business professional dress when you get the email, but upon arrival, most of the office staff is business casual at best. The email also says you should arrive 10 minutes early (no kidding?), but my interviewer was 20 minutes late, no advance notice so I was just stuck sitting in the waiting room for over 35 minutes since I arrived early. First impressions matter and this place comes across unprofessional. Also, the office is located in the ghetto, and I mean ghetto.
The interview itself was fine. Standard questions. Was not made an offer but would not have accepted one anyway given the interview experience and the terrible location.
