I applied online. I interviewed at UChicago Medicine
Interview
The recruiter was really nice and responded quickly. I do think it's ridiculous that they wanted to do 5 rounds of interviews for a job asking for a minimum of 3 years of experience. If you can't figure out who to hire after 2-3 interviews, then there's a problem with management. I find it odd that there was a big emphasis on AI usage for this position. UChicago's mission is to help marginalized communities in the South Side of Chicago. Considering there are plans to build an AI Data Center in the South Side, it's contradictory to be using AI, knowing the environmental harm it proposes to these communities.
