I applied online. I interviewed at UBS (Auckland, Auckland) in Feb 2025
Interview
Generally a pretty average interview process - it wasnt extremely hard but it wasnt extremely easy either. It had seven questions with two mins to prepare and two mins to respond. This included both behavioural and technical questions. Took around ~45 mins in total

Question 1
What is an interesting financial topic that you have recently read about?
The whole hiring thing is pretty standard. You usually kick off with some basic screening to get the logistics out of the way, and then you’ll have a few follow-up chats with the team

Question 1
The questions are kind of all over the place but mostly stick to the basics of the job. You'll get some broad technical stuff and a bunch of questions about your background and how you handle certain situations. They also throw in some general talk about how the business works and what’s happening in the market to see if you're on the same page.
2 months after vi, I get one interview and it was abt trading solution and methods of estimating funds projected into China mainland market etc. It was one hr in total and first half an hr is technical, the 2nd half is abt behaviour and how ur experience align with this role.
