I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at UBS (Pune) in Jan 2020
Interview
1 Day - 4 Rounds
Round 1 - Technical :
A friendly guy with medium seniority conducts first round.
Asks basics of React, Redux, JS and Java (optional on Java; only if you are comfortable)
Round 2 - Technical (manager) :
No offense, but a less technically sound person pretends he/she know everything about React JS.
You explain "Why React?" in depth ( till reconciliation) and yet he/she still not happy, just because you didn't tell the formal definition.
Overall not open to understand and accept that there can be multiple ways/perspectives to explain single thing.
Round 3 - Technical (line manager) :
You are asked about past and current project, few random technical things to judge your thinking ability.
Intimidates you a little by confusing you with twisting the questions.
Overall okay round.
Round 4 - HR
Salary discussion.
Bad experience. You will be asked your expectations; and told congratulations you have passed all the rounds, I'll send your expectations for approval and get back to you for documents in next few days.
And you don't get a call, neither a reply to your mail.
After 6 months they reply to you, "You were not found technically fit by panel".
(In reality it is more like," you were more than a good fit; but we don't have the budget")
UBS seems to be a good company, but seems to have hired wrong people for managerial positions (easy there, just my opinion based on my observation),
Advice/Suggestion to Talent Acquisition try a good staffing agency may be; might help you to understand the market value of an candidate based on his/her skills and experience.
-HR Call -First Round: BQ -Second Round: Technical Question -Third: Another interview from the panel It is a very common interview and hr offered me a verbal offer but one week later, hr emailed me that the position was closed
