      Mid Market Account Executive Interview

      Jul 25, 2022
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Twilio in Jul 2022

      Interview

I applied and about two weeks later I got an interview from a recruiter. The interview itself went well in my opinion, general questions about culture, current role, and expectations. I was told I would move on to the next steps and was given detail on what to expect, next thing you know I hear back from the recruiter and they've done a complete 180 on me without any reason. I ended up asking the recruiter for some clarity on why I'm no longer being considered and I was told that there was a priority in headcount to another department. Fast forward a week later, I see the same job posting for the same role. I believe in transparency throughout the interview process and the least they could have done was tell it to me straight. I understand it is a hard conversation, but you shouldn't lead candidates on after you've told them they would be moving on to the next steps, especially if they've mentioned they are looking at multiple organizations.
