Recruiter reach out via email and set up a 15 min call - They mentioned my experience aligns really well with the position, and it really did which is one if the reasons why I applied too. 2. 45 min interview with Director (Behavioral) Was sent to final round after this 3. 45 min interview with Hiring Manager (Behavioral) 4. Take home assessment (Code + presentation) 5. 45 min Bar raiser + Tech + behavioral with someone from another team. All my interviewers were super polite and I enjoyed my time interviewing with them. The entire process took ~3 months! After everything the recruiter reached out and said 'All interviewers had incredible feedback about you and you're a good fit for the company, BUT they prioritized someone internally who wanted to switch teams'. That is such a BS reason to give to a candidate who invested 3 months of his time with you. They should have notified me before of this that they're considering internal candidates too, of course they're going to be prioritized. I just wouldn't have wasted my time interviewing. What a disappointment from such a huge company - Not a good way to treat candidates.
