It's incredibly unprofessional and rude to require hours of work for a creative project, only to ghost. I just read a reddit post about the company to find that many others had the exact same experience, if not worse.

The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at TubeScience (Glendale, CA)
Interview
The recruiter was nice and polite we moved on to the second round of the interview which was a creative assessment which I spent an entire weekend putting together the presentation. Sent it out and confirmed they had received it. But never got back to me in regards to sorry it’s not going to work out or we went with someone else. Just like a typical company in marketing to ghost the candidates.
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at TubeScience (Los Angeles, CA) in Aug 2021
Interview
The interview process consisted of 4 steps. First, it was a phone call with the recruiter. Then a video chat with the CD and PM. After that, I completed an assessment. This third step was paid, but it was very inconsiderate. The assessment was sent on a Friday afternoon and they gave me until Sunday night to completed it. They did not ask if it was ok, or if it conflicted with any other commitments. I had a shoot that Saturday, so I had to cancel family plans to do it on a Sunday. These assessments take more time than they suggest. Finally, I was interviewed by the team to break down the assessment. The final interview went well and I was offered the job the next day. They wanted me to start before the standard two weeks and they wouldn't negotiate the salary, so I turned it down. Those were red flags for me.
