      Community Manager Interview

      Feb 9, 2026
      Anonymous interview candidate
      London, England
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at TryHackMe (London, England) in Feb 2026

      Interview

Asked to complete a 3-step task but when I presented it, the interviewer didn’t seem to be paying attention. Felt like the decision had already been made, which was confirmed by a rejection email that didn’t mention the task at all.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

3-step task about online and offline community management, plus B2B marketing.

Hi, thanks for taking the time to leave a review and share your thoughts, it’s appreciated even when it’s negative. I’m sorry this felt that way. That’s not the experience we aim to give in interviews, especially after someone has invested time in a task. We do use AI transcription to support interviewers so they can focus more on the conversation rather than note-taking, but we still expect full engagement and attention throughout the discussion. I’ll be picking this up internally to make sure consistency across interview stages is where it needs to be. On the feedback piece, we also aim to reference the task directly in decisions where possible, so I understand why that felt disconnected here. Thanks again for the feedback and best of luck with your search. Daryl, TA Team
