I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Tribe AI in Apr 2026
Interview
Very long candidate process with little to no transparency. Interviewed shifted to 3 roles over 2 months with 9 individuals including a Co-CEO, unanswered questions throughout, and a form rejection; "thanks for your interest in Tribe!" after 18 months of engagement. Noting that the majority of interviewers have been converted to full-time for less than 6 months, were warm, engaged, experienced at every stage-- so the disconnect between the people interviewing and the decision-making process was stark. Recruiter relied on AI automated scheduling without providing basic context like a job description, interview scope, or next steps. Had to ask multiple times on all fronts to get a clear response. Company scaling quickly, also mid-pivot from consultancy to FTE model and the growing pains and confusion are real. Branding does not match reality. Limited diversity in team composition, a key concern in a field where varied perspectives are critical to effective AI enablement. Proceed with extreme caution, and respect your time and boundaries.

I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Tribe AI in May 2026
Interview
One talk with recruiter, one interview, where the interviewer asked me completely irrelevant things that had nothing to do with an AI FDE would typically do. It was a complete waste of time, and given the limited experience of the interviewer, feels like a bullet dodged. Be prepared for the "our clients are special" "our clients expect x,y,z" "you've never worked on this before" type of arrogance.
