Trazi Ventures interview questions

Was given a take home project to build a node microservice. Submitted it several days later and was told that 'they've received a lot of submissions' and it would take some time to review. Why would you offer that part of the interview process to so many people that you would receive too many submissions? I received feedback a week later stating that my application was rejected because they couldn't run the app. I provided detailed written instructions and video walkthrough showing the application running just fine on my local machine. Don't put people through building a project if you can't even spend five minutes reviewing it.
