I applied through university. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Trane Technologies (Blacksburg, VA) in Sep 2014
Interview
They came to the engineering career fair on campus and kind of pegged me for their technical sales. I was more looking for an engineering internship of sorts but it just so happened that the guy I talked to was a manger of sorts for the technical sales interns and he saw me as a fit for them. He was more intrigued in me I felt like than I was on the idea of sales. But I went with the flow and he ended up scheduling me for a 1 on 1 interview later that week. I went and the interview (all behavioral questions) ended up being with a different guy, but both of them were very outgoing and enjoyable people. It was easy to talk casually with them and not feel too much pressure. I mean naturally there is some since they are hiring managers but I left impressed with the whole process. It was smooth and professional.

Was a great process! Met the recruiter at the career fair then moved to a HIrevue interview where questions like "Tell me about a time where you had to make a connection" were asked. Then a meeting with the hiring manager and then final round was a meeting with a panel of people you were going to work with. Really enjoyed the interview overall it is an amazing company!

RECRUITER NO-SHOW. I was initially contacted by a Talent Aquisition Recruiter who worked for Ingersoll Rand after getting connected through someone in my network. The recruiter asked me via email if she could call me on a specific day for a phone interview and I quickly responded with a 4-hour time slot. On that day, I waited four hours with no response. I called, left a voicemail, and emailed to see if perhaps there was an emergency or miscommunication. Five days later, I still have never heard from the company again.
