I was expecting more from an organisation like Toyota and would not recommend them as an employer based on my experience during the recruitment process. I had a face to face interview and was told I would be contacted the following week. Having not heard anything for three weeks I sent a follow up email and still heard nothing. I finally had a phone call a week later stating I didn't have enough industry experience. I would have thought they would have picked that up from my resume and suggest I just wasn't right for Toyota and wish they had a more honest approach to feedback. I feel I may have dodged a bullet as if that is how they treat people during the 'attraction' phase I would hate to see what happens once you are an employee.
I took a day off work to attend the interview and it would be nice if corporations appreciated what people go through to accommodate their needs and at least give them the respect and dignity of treating them with respect and dignity.
