I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at TikTok in Nov 2025
Interview
Application + video response submission, followed by 3 interview rounds (rejected after final round). Confusing process, no communication on focus of each round beforehand. Most interviewers kept cameras off and were late. Questions were standard for PM and TikTok-focused.
Take home assessment. Record a presentation on an AI project you did. Didn't actually get to talk to a human recruiter but doing the take home assessment wasn't too hard. Very responsive recruiter.
interview with the business manager. ask some question about my resume and past experience, how i handle specific questions and the algorithm details. also product sense, like how you handle the situations about user malicious behaviors, how to prevent that, etc. very good experience, reasonable questions and provide feedback.
Was asked very targeted questions to the role, which gives lots of insight on the job scope. Interviews were scheduled fast and feedback was given quickly! Each interview lasted 1 hour each, most focused on thinking processes and decision making
