Interview
Hiring manager was top notch. However the CTO and CEO were both toxic and small minded. In anterview with CEO she had no EIQ and was defensive when asked questions such as why little revenue after almost ten years in business. When asked about how she stayed on top of news her answer was I ask my friend on RSS. No deeper knowledge and no experience with HR tech. Will surprise me if company will last much longer with her in charge.

Interview
I was interviewed by multiple members of the team, which I seriously appreciated since the company is 100% remote. Knowing that we all were going to get a long and work as a team means so much, now that I am apart of the team.

Interview
An absolute joke of a company...Bait and switch on the position, they work out of an apartment, and still haven't fixed their job description (read more on that below) that they re-posted 10 days ago.
In February, they posted a President and CRO position here on Glassdoor. I applied online and received a response from the CEO and we set a time for a phone interview. Interview went well and per the posting we discussed the scope of management and duties and how my background was a fit. The phone interview went so well that we scheduled an in person interview at the end of the call for 2 weeks out.
I arrive at the in person interview we make our way up two flights of stairs by two separate kitchens, no offices, to a conference room. The interview is going well until the CEO invites in a colleague to join the interview. After about 5 minutes, they begin a side conversation when I hear..."well, that's why we need a channel partner manager". At that point, I had to ask, "Did I miss something? Are you saying this interview is for a channel manager and not a President and CRO position?". CEO answers..."Yes, that is correct, I have been burned before and that person will have the opportunity to grow into the CRO role".
I almost got up and walked out but I stayed and completed the interview. One of the topics was whether or not the candidate needed a HR or HCM background...I don't have that experience, was very open about it, and even asked in the first telephone interview if it was a deal killer...the answer was no. Anyway, I received an email a few days later from the CEO saying they want someone with HR or HCM background. I
I can completely understand wanting that experience. However, they continue their bait and switch practices a month later. The same President and CRO position with the same job description has been reposted here on Glassdoor....and it still has no mention of needing HR or HCM experience.
We regret that you weren't pleased with your experience with our company. Often times management makes exceptions for people interviewing based on their skill set, experience and passion for what we do . It seems as though your expertise did not outweigh the company's desire to have a President/CRO with experience from the field of human resources.
Our team loves our three story, art filled loft in downtown Austin. This work environment isn't the right fit for everyone and it sounds like you will be much happier in a different, possibly more corporate workplace. It sounds as though this was not a fit for the company, nor for you.
Our team wishes you all the best on your job search and/or current job.
