I had a very disappointing and exhausting interview experience with ThirdEyeData.
At the beginning of the process, I was informed that there would be only two interview rounds:
Technical round
Manager round
I was also told that after clearing these two rounds, the offer letter would be released.
I proceeded with the process based on this understanding.
Round 1 â Technical Interview:
A 30-minute technical discussion focused on my DevOps and cloud experience. The interview went well, and I was informed that I had cleared this round.
Round 2 â Manager Interview:
I appeared for the manager round, which also went well. At this stage, I expected the process to move toward the offer, as initially communicated.
Unexpected Change â CEO Round:
When I reached the HR stage, I was informed that I needed to appear for an additional CEO round, which was never mentioned at the beginning. I accepted this change and cleared the CEO round as well.
After this, there was no clear communication for about a week, after which I was informed that the process was âon holdâ due to internal planning. No timelines or clarity were provided.
Further Extension â Assignment/Test Round:
About 15 days later the CEO round, I was again informed that I must complete an assignment or testing round, and only after that would the HR discussion take place.
At this point, the process had expanded from 2 rounds to 5 rounds, which was never communicated upfront. When I questioned this inconsistency, I was told it was âpart of the processâ and that the CEO wanted an additional test before releasing an offer.
This continuous addition of rounds felt unprofessional and misleading, especially after investing over two months in the process.
Other concerning points discussed:
They do not provide a company laptop (candidate must use their own).
Expectations of very long working hours.
HR communication was vague and unhelpful, with repeated excuses and no clear closure.
Overall interview behavior did not feel respectful or candidate-friendly.
Due to the lack of transparency, constant changes in the process, poor communication, and time wastage, I decided not to proceed further and rejected any future involvement from my side.
Final Thoughts
This interview process was extremely hectic, unclear, and draining. Candidates are not informed properly about the number of rounds, timelines, or expectations. I would strongly advise candidates to be cautious before investing significant time with ThirdEyeData.
Recommendation: â Not recommended based on my personal experience.
