I applied online. I interviewed at The Villages (The Villages, FL) in Apr 2025
Interview
Very long interview process. First interview was over the phone with HR. Second phone interview was with the head of marketing. We talked about the position, salary range, and next steps. The next interview was in-person... and it was a bit strange. Throughout the entire process, no last names were shared, and no one would commit to the size of the department. I met with 2 people who I later learned were very high up in the company (the highest, tbh). The next in person interview was with 2 more people in Marketing. Then another phone interview where I was given a test project to later come back in and present to senior leadership. I came back in for a third in-person presentation to a panel of marketing and creatives. It went really well, they all loved it & said they were going to use my project, and I was so excited about the job. A week later I got an offer... for a much lower position and half the salary we had discussed. When I said it didn't match the position I applied for or the salary we had discussed - they agreed and rescinded the offer, and the conversation was dropped. I think this was either a bait & switch situation, or this is how they harvest fresh ideas, with no intention of actually hiring people.

Interview
I was invited in person for an in-person interview and the 3 people interviewing me were very genuine and kind. Even though they have a few more candidates to interview, they reassured me that they will be in contact in the following week.

Interview
Interview takes several months and steps, include phone, questionnaires, in person and task, it seems they prefer someone without real estate experience to train their system and the lifestyle. They recommended to take a trolly tour and visit agent at their open houses.
