I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at The Trade Desk (London, England) in Jan 2016
Interview
Telephone interview with london office, asked the interviewer if they maintain good OO standards, he blatantly said they do not follow any standards like good OO designs etc. From then I'd pictured cowboy coding practises.
I provided a clean well documented and fully object oriented code for the second interview, but the interviewer was interested in asking questions during the code review which is way off in the context. Like another reviewer said, Google of ten years ago which I find ridiculous.
I felt my skills set was not properly tested, and it was a total waste of my time. I am sure several other capable candidates would have gone through the same. Process needs to involve senior's from US at early stage.

I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at The Trade Desk in Sep 2025
Interview
Online Assessment, followed by a Hiring Manager interview that was System Design + Behavioral. Didn't pass that stage, was not given a reason, but I assume it was the system design portion. Next stage would have been a loop (2 coding + 1 system design).
I interviewed at The Trade Desk (San Francisco, CA)
Interview
- recruiter
- hiring manager chat about exp
- coding screen
- onsite
Overall pretty standard interview and good experience hence why i joined. interviews were collaborative and practical rather than obscure algorithms
