I applied in-person. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at The Running Room (Chicago, IL)
Interview
About 20 minutes, asked questions about customer service experience and how you handle conflict basically. Just be attentive and know a little bit about different running brands and the sport itself. You gotta be willing to learn too. You’ll conduct gait analyses on customers that need to be fitted into shoes so it’s important to identify correctly

Question 1
When was a time you were in a conflict among peers? How did you handle it?
Very straightforward, just a chat about availability, assessment of communication skills and friendliness, interest in running and health oriented lifestyle. Looks like they also assessed for fit in the team as everyone got along very well in our shifts which creates a warmer environment for customers.

Question 1
Tell me about your experience in customer service and people-facing positions
Super straight forward and pleasant interview. They emailed me about a week after I applied. And then scheduled for an in person interview in one of their stores. Most of the questions were about previous experience and then gauging my understanding of running and running shoes.
