I was reached via recruiter on LinkedIn. First round was assessment test and behavior test. After that, I got call from the recruiter for 30 minutes phone call. On the call itself, I told them I need sponsorship (which I mentioned while applying for the job) and the compensation was way below than my current job. The recruiter was not sure if they can sponsor. I told then and there, I am not interested if the pay is so low and if you don't offer extension. She told me she would let me know. Next day, I get rejection email. It was more like, they just did not want me to reject, so they sent rejection email. It felt a waste of time and effort.
