      Accounting Specialist Interview

      Positive experience

      Application

I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at The Nature Conservancy in Jul 2024

      Interview

I submitted a standard online application without a referral and received a phone screen invitation from HR three days later via email. The phone screen was conducted four days after and took 30 minutes. Nine days following the phone screen, I interviewed with the Hiring Manager and a colleague via Zoom. This interview lasted one hour. The next day, I received an email from HR to schedule a final zoom interview with the Hiring Manager's boss, which took place seven days later and lasted 25 minutes. Five days after the final interview, HR contacted me for references. FYI: I highly recommend to prepare your references beforehand by providing them with a copy of your resume and the job description. Eight days after submitting references, I received a verbal job offer. FYI: Do anticipate a discussion about salary, and if you negotiate, it will be over the phone. I'm not positive if this is applicable to all selected candidates but I will be receiving an official written offer via mail for signature and return.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

HR Phonescreen Interview: Tell me about yourself? Why do you want to work for TNC? What are your strengths? Tell me about a challenging customer service experience and how you addressed/resolved it? How do you work under pressure? Do you prefer working alone or in a team setting? Hiring Manager Zoom Interview: Tell me about yourself? Walk me through your resume? Tell me about a time you resolved an issue/problem in a creative way? What are your career goals/plans? What responsibilities associated with this position are you looking forward to doing? What responsibilities associated with this position are you not enthusiastic about? Note: Expect situational and technical questions pertaining to your role and expected responsibilities. Also, know your resume, and don't be afraid to let your personality shine through. Hiring Manager's Boss Zoom Interview: Tell me about yourself? How do you cope with work stress? What are your career goals? What is your understanding of the position? Note: If there is a third interview in your case, this is very much a culture fit/personality/behavioral assessment. They want to get to know you as a person, what brings you to want to work here, and your long-term career goals. Be your authentic self, however, with a professional overtone. Add. observations: Interviewers will write notes and forward those over to the next person interviewing you.
