I applied in-person. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at The Container Store (Corte Madera, CA) in Aug 2008
Interview
It was a promotion type interview. To transfer stores, and get promoted to a training position... It was a good opportunity for me, they were very organized, very welcoming and asked great questions and provided me with wonderful information about their location and why they would be a good fit for me.

I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at The Container Store (Indianapolis, IN) in Sep 2011
Interview
There was an online application, phone interview(s), group interview and several one-on-one interviews. I was told by a manager you can expect between 7-9 interviews when being considered for a full-time position at The Container Store. It is a nice concept to hire the best of the best, and be able to have several members of the team interview you for fit. However, in reality, requiring this many interviewst suggests you have serious leadership challenges in your organization. A true leader should be able to make a sound hiring decision for this job in three interviews or less.
