I applied in-person. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at The Children's Place (Woodbridge, VA) in Jul 2017
Interview
Short, All they talk about is mission of the store and my initial job. The man who interviewed me was flanked by my eventual boss, whose name I forgot. They were like a vague metaphorical yin and yang. One of them complemented me while the other one grilled me on (once thought) little things. I felt like I was in the interview scene in The Departed, except in this one the Mark Wahlberg character was skinnier and had brown skin. From what I recall, we were in a small room with some computers in it. Maybe it was the main office. In a strange plot twist, I was laid off the boss through the phone on the day after my last day.
Now I know what it's like to be the Matt Damon character, only emotionally.
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at The Children's Place (Halifax, NS) in Sep 2025
Interview
Very casual interview. Got asked about myself and my experience and availability. I was also told some guidelines and what they were looking for in an employee at their store
I interviewed at The Children's Place (Culver City, CA)
Interview
I applied on Indeed and they had their application later that week I was given a call for an interview, which was simple where they had me answer a few questions that involved my availability and experience in that type of environment.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Do I have experience in retail? Have I used the cash register? Availability?
Very professional, involved a 20-30 min question round with general hiring questions and about the company. It was with the store manager in-person. Very welcoming and gave feedback as well as chances for improvement
