I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Tenet Energy (New York, NY)
Interview
Asked to complete a "3 hour" take-home exercise which was hastily put together, inconsistent, ambiguous and a poor fit to demonstrate anyone's abilities. After spending a week on it I received a simple "will not go forward with your application" response. Did not even have a courtesy to have an in-person review of the submission.

Question 1
Take-home exercise which was hastily put together, inconsistent and ambiguous
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Tenet Energy (New York, NY) in Aug 2023
Interview
Interview process was pretty normal: - Recruiter screening - Presentation - Meeting with different departments x 4 - Meeting with C-suite Company was interesting, although there was a strange emphasis on the experience of their current staff even though it seemed on par with other startups. Meeting with the C-suite was disappointing as the CEO was not engaged the entire time and it felt like they were reading from a script. Considering candidates have usually gone through loops of interviews and unpaid work to get to this stage, I hope they have the maturity to actually engage with the individuals they're interviewing. But I might have higher standards for interviews so maybe this is just the culture of the company However I consider this a great opportunity to get to know the type of people that thrive here and what to avoid when looking for new roles.
