      Teacher Interview

      Oct 5, 2009
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Neutral experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Teach for America in Nov 2008

      Interview

Wrote an essay before getting a call to set up an interview at a large university. When I arrived, the process started with an introduction. We all introduced ourselves and went around giving 5 minute teaching presentations that we had to prepare earlier. Afterwards, we took part in a group discussion about two articles that we had to read beforehand. The 1:1 interview took roughly 45 minutes and your standard behavioral questions were asked. A lot of specific questions about how you handle adversity and why you feel you would be able to be a teacher.

      Interview questions [2]

      Question 1

Scenario was given where you had to solve an issue related to conflicts between school administration and TFA's goals
      Answer question

      Question 2

Tell me about a time when you had a conflict and how you solved it.
