Well let's see. The first time I had an interview with them, the guy didn't show up, canceled after the fact, then never spoke to me again. I wouldn't have bothered applying with them again after that display of unprofessionalism, but times are desperate so I found myself applying again, figuring I'd probably never hear from them again anyway. This time I was surprised to actually have someone show up for a virtual interview, and then moved on to a live panel interview at their local office. It seemed to go quite well and I was feeling pretty hopeful about it. They said they had a few more interviews to do, but they'd let me know one way or the other by the end of the week. Two weeks later, still nothing but silence. I e-mailed the recruiter I'd been speaking to, asking for an update. Gee, wouldn't you know it, he suddenly won't respond. I am DONE with this nonsense and I am going to keep calling this childish behavior out. Bad enough so many companies now can't even be bothered to do the basic effort of sending an automated rejection e-mail and just leave you hanging forever, but when you tell me specifically that you're going to get back to me in a specific time frame and give me a straight answer and then go out of your way to not bother and flat out avoid me, you might as well be spitting right in my face. We may just be some nobody on an application form that you want to use to fill some arbitrary slot, but WE ARE HUMAN BEINGS. A job like this could make or break someone's LIFE and you can't even be bothered to give them the most basic human decency of just saying "sorry, but you didn't get it" because that would be a mild inconvenience that would take 5 seconds of your time?
