Standard questions in the phone screening, but I did not move forward. I suspect it had something to do with my salary expectations. The position was essentially two full jobs in one, and based on the salary my sense was that the organization did not fully understand what success in these two combined roles would look like. I was told that salaries were more or less non-negotiable and generally fall in the mid-range of the posted band. Had I known that, I would not have applied. The lack of any ability to get post-interview feedback does not speak well to the organization or the value they place on candidates' time and energy.
