The owner of the business asked me to send zoom link for the first round of interview instead of him sending it to me. This is after me convincing him of the benefits of virtual meetings and telling him that I have a second round of interview with another company just 2 hours after my appointment with him. Initially, he called me all the way to his office for the first round despite knowing that it will be 4 hours commute for me. He was not on time at the zoom meeting. So I messaged him asking if he is facing issues. He called me asking for 10 more minutes. He came to the meeting after 20 minutes. His video was off, so after exchanging greetings, I asked if he plans to start his video. He said he can't because he is driving! After sometime, he parked his car in a random parking lot and started his video. He shared his needs, I shared what all I can offer in terms of skills so as to fulfill his company's needs. When I halfway through a sentence, his video went off all of a sudden without a warning. I continued to finish my sentence and my topic. Then I asked him if he is still there on call. He said yes followed by "Give me a second, give me a second." I was sitting still, staring at my screen with that strong ring light hurting my eyes and all the make up and formal wear, thinking that he can still see my video even though his video is off. After a couple minutes, his audio went off too. And later on, he was out of the meeting! All this, without any intimation. After 10 minutes of waiting for him in the meeting, I messaged him if we are reconnecting. No reply! After 30 minutes of him abruptly leaving in the middle of me talking, I messaged him "It seems you are busy. I need to prepare for my next call. Let us reconnect later." No reply for days and weeks. I can still see him online on Facebook. Highly unprofessional!
