The interview process was very lengthy and took around four weeks. It began with an initial chat with the talent acquisition person, followed by an in-person interview with a manager and her manager. A week later, I had another round with the head of department and the head of HR, and finally the vice president of the company.
Overall, it felt like I needed to go above and beyond for the role I spent hours doing research, pitching ideas, and preparing as though I needed to know every detail about the company. Having the interviews in person was also challenging, as it meant taking time out of my day. Still, getting that far and meeting with senior leaders gave me the feeling that I had a strong chance of securing the role.
Unfortunately, I never received a call back or any follow-up, even after I reached out. The lack of communication left me feeling disheartened and that the whole process had been a waste of time.
The interview process could be improved, starting with holding the first stage online rather than requiring candidates to come in straight away.
