This was not even at the interview stage, yet the experience was disappointing. The recruiter, who appeared to be based outside of Singapore, did not demonstrate the level of professionalism one would expect when representing a company. Experiences like this make it difficult for candidates to have confidence in an organisation when its recruiters display such a lack of professionalism. The recruiter communicated poorly, with messages containing grammatical errors, and failed to follow up after making initial contact. While not every candidate will be selected, responding to individuals whom you have already chosen to engage with is simply a matter of common professional courtesy. Candidates have choices too, and experiences such as this can reflect poorly on a company’s employer brand and overall candidate experience.

Easy going. Just needed to know about the testing and certification industry basics and potential competitors. Best to research a little regarding the industry and the field that you’re in.
