      Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Synthesia in May 2023

      Interview

I applied via a referral. About a week later, a recruiter reached out to me and we scheduled a screening call via Zoom a few days later. The recruiter I spoke with was very friendly and easy going. A few hours after the call, I was notified that I would be moving on to the next stage of the process, a task. The next day, I received the task. I turned in my task a few days later (after a holiday weekend). The recruiter let me know that she would get back to me as soon as she had an update. A week later, I had not heard anything, so I reached out to the recruiter to see if there was any news. I still did not hear anything back, so I reached out to my contact and then heard back from the recruiter very quickly. She let me know that she still did not have any updates, but I should hear more by the middle of the following week. The following Wednesday, I was notified that I would not be moving forward in the process. The initial email I received did not have much information, and appeared to be automated, so I reached out to the recruiter directly. She got back to me with some very informative feedback about how the process went on her side and was very forthcoming in her response. Most companies do not provide that kind of information, so I was very appreciative. Even though this did not work out, I do plan to keep an eye on their career page for further opportunities.

      Application

I applied through other source. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at Synthesia (London, England) in Sep 2024

      Interview

A very positive interview experience. Several stages from an initial screening discussion with a TA team member (to gauge suitability and experience) followed by a more role-focused/technical interview with the hiring manager and then with the immediate team. The last stage was a panel discussion with key stakeholders further to completing a take-home assignment. The whole process was done remotely and took about 5-6 weeks from initial engagement which is pretty reasonable. Scheduling and communication in between was easy and great. My main POC was super responsive and transparent which was refreshing. Throughout the process, everyone from the company acted professionally, demonstrated great enthusiasm for what they do and genuine interest in determining if I was a good fit and the vice versa.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

Other than standard technical / role specific questions to gauge experience (including discussing the thought process behind completing the take-home assignment), several questions focused on my interest in the role and company, and my mindset and ability to handle challenges and solve problems in a dynamic / fast-paced environment and take ownership. Cultural fit and how you work is key to align with the company's successful practices and overall mission, which is why these questions were important.

      Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Synthesia (Athens, Athens, Attica) in Mar 2023

      Interview

I initially had a call with an internal recruiter which was great and casual, mainly covering the administrative aspects. I then had a call with the VP of Sales to go over in more depth the role itself and to ask/answer questions. Lastly there was a relatively quick task to complete. Overall the interview process was very smooth and quick, the interviews themselves were very natural and free flowing, which was great.
