I was contacted by an external recruiter on behalf of Swarovski. Had 4 interviews with the recruiter before having 2 interviews with Swarovski itself. At the end of the interview, I was told my only interface was the recruiter and that I could not liaise directly with Swarovski. The recruiter contacted me 2 days after to tell me they wanted me but only on a temporary contract of 6 months and put pressure on me to accept it. I requested the job offer to be sent in writing. I was told I had to wait until January as the holidays were on the way. I waited for 4 weeks, with the recruiter telling me the offer was on the way. By the 3rd week of January, the recruiter contacted me again to tell me they had decided not to make the offer as they were going for an internal solution. They commented through the recruiter that my profile and personality were good for the job, but they had changed their mind due to internal recruitment. The whole process was quite unprofessional on Swarovski’s side. Rather than keeping me waiting for more than a month after a month of interviews when they could have told me right the way showed the type of company they are. The Woman from HR was ruthless, unprofessional, and asked very invasive questions. I was profiled and I felt mistreated in the interview on location. The hiring manager balanced the situation but the HR woman profiled me in a negative way during the interview.
