Upon receiving an invitation from the assistant at Susana Monaco's office, I was promptly asked to come in for a test and interview the very next day. Although I reside out of state, I took the commitment seriously, traveling for over an hour and arriving fully prepared with my portfolio and laptop. Merely two minutes into my presentation, Ms. Monaco appeared distinctly agitated. Instead of engaging in a professional discourse, she chose to walk away, delegating her office manager to administer the retouching test to me. Completing the test, I was taken aback when Ms. Monaco did not reappear to review the results, discuss the job's specifics, or extend the courtesy of a simple 'thank you' for my efforts. The lack of engagement from their side was evident – I was neither asked any pertinent questions about my background nor afforded an opportunity to inquire about the role. Having been informed that someone would contact me in the forthcoming days, I left. In an effort to demonstrate initiative and diligence, I reached out to the office manager. However, my proactive approach was met with silence. The entire ordeal, regretfully, felt not only unprofessional but also dismissive. I find it challenging to recommend this employer given their evident disregard for prospective employees.
