Lengthy process but thorough and enjoyable. Everyone I interacted with during the process was warm, prepared, and helpful.
I applied through Grammarly Careers and was contacted by a recruiter within a week. The process took about 3 months.
The full interview loop consisted of technical and behavioral questions, which covered coding, applied algorithms, system design & architecture, project deep dive, and career & work history.
Including the technical phone screen, there were ten 60-75 minute sessions. All interviewers came prepared.
Interviews were scheduled in succession, pending results from the last completed round. Between the interview stages, I took 1-2 weeks to prep and rest before scheduling subsequent interviews.
In addition to interview meetings, there were 30-minute meetings with hiring managers for me to learn about the role and team; I met with hiring managers from different teams because specific job requisitions were closed/filled.
After my final interview, I received feedback within a week. I was asked to provide three contacts for reference checks; all three were scheduled and completed before I was presented with a formal offer.
Compared to other software interview loops I've experienced, this was, holistically, the most difficult; however, each interview meeting was pleasant, and the questions/tasks were of average difficulty.
