      Fraud Analyst Interview

      Jul 7, 2023
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through other source. I interviewed at Super.com

      Interview

I applied to Fraud analyst role and i received a response to complete a case study. I did not get a phone interview screen where i can speak to someone to understand the company history, culture and goals and vice versa. I thought that was strange but also a unique approach. One of the questions was analyzing a data set with over 8000 lines . While I appreciate the intention behind this exercise, I felt that it may not be necessary for the position in question. I found myself questioning the purpose of it and This felt like they needed to get work done on data they have and so why not use the interview process? Furthermore, I would like to address the timing and communication surrounding the case study. The email I received on mid-Thursday mentioned that the case study had to be completed within3 Biz days. However, the same email also said to submit by Tuesday at 10 am. This effectively left me with only one business day to complete the task and had to work on Canada Day. It would be appreciated if future communication could ensure clarity and consistency in such time-sensitive matters, taking into consideration any potential holidays or long weekends. Completing the case study, especially in a presentable manner as required took significant investment of time. While I understand the importance of assessing a candidate's abilities, I believe that a more streamlined process could be implemented, considering the comprehensive information already available. Respecting the candidates' time and effort would greatly improve the overall experience. In today's challenging job market, where opportunities are scarce and competition is fierce, it is essential to have seamless and direct communication. Even if it may not be feasible to offer individual feedback to every applicant, minimizing unnecessary hurdles in the interview process can contribute significantly to a positive candidate experience. Thank you for considering this feedback, and I hope it helps improve the interview process for future candidates.

      Difficult interview

      Application

      I applied online. I interviewed at Super.com

      Interview

Extremely unprofessional, rude, and disrespectful of people's time. Zero communication. Initially I received an email to schedule a call with a recruiter, so I did. A few days before the call was supposed to happen, I get an email from the recruiter saying I made it to the next step in the process, which was a case study. I thought it was strange because I had not spoken to anyone yet. I spent several hours doing the case study and sent it before the deadline. The day of the recruiter call, I see that the event is gone from my calendar. Nothing from the recruiter. I email them and all they tell me is they're reviewing the case studies and will get back to me when they're done. A week goes by and I had not heard from the recruiter, but instead I get the automated candidate survey email. I had not received a rejection email, either. I email the recruiter to see if there are any updates about the process. I get another automated email several hours later which was the rejection email. I did not even talk to the recruiter over the phone. I had not talked to the hiring manager. I did not talk to ANYONE from this company. And I agree with the other review for the Fraud Analyst position in that it seems like they just made the candidates do the case study so the work could be done for them for free. It was honestly the most unprofessional "interview" experience I ever had.
