Initial screening call with a recruitment officer. The screening call was about the hours, the location, my experience and what I was looking for. The guy was very informative and gave a positive impression of the company.
Then I had a face-to-face interview with two senior members of staff. They were polite but did not really make me feel comfortable or put me at ease. I guess they were tired of interviewing at this stage. The interview was 90 minutes long. I presented a lesson plan ad then the interviewers went through a list of questions (I was originally told it was conversational in style - it definitely was not). They took notes. Then they asked for all of my paperwork to copy and gave me a tour of the school and introduced me to other members of staff.
It was a long interview and no-one was particularly happy or enthusiastic.
Take all of your documents with you. It shows that you are organised and prepared and they are more likely to look favourably on you if they don't need to chase things up. (Passport, driver's licence, proof of address dated within the last 3 months, DBS -best if registered on the update system for £15 a year, degree certificates, details of referees, overseas checks, addresses for the last 6 years).
