I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Stream in Jan 2021
Interview
1. Initial tech assessment with engineering director;
2. 3 hours tech final round consists of 2 coding sessions and 1 system design;
3. Chat with VP of Engineering;
4. Chat with Chief of Staff
The conversations are enjoyable and interviews are very kind.
However in the middle of the process, they downgraded the position being applied for without telling me until the every end. Many hours could have been saved by discontinuing at the earliest opportunity.

Thanks for taking the time to share your feedback so that we can keep improving our hiring experience. We really appreciate that time is one of your most valuable assets and so are very sorry to hear that you felt this mis-spent during the process. We can't be certain as the comment is anonymous, but occasionally on filling a role we'll offer other strong candidates an alternative position rather than outright reject. Regardless, we'll take this away with our Engineering team to understand where opportunities for clearer communication were missed. Should you want to offer further insight, please don't hesitate to get in touch at people@wagestream.co.uk
