3 Rounds of Interviews: First with HR, Second with a pair of Consultants and Third with pair of Principals. All of them were pretty straightforward and fairly relaxed. The interviewers were approachable and well-informed.
There was also a case study in the form of a written briefing note that needed to be conducted. I was given the weekend to complete it. Within the parameters of the 2-page max requirement, the instructions asked me to include a lot and I feel that maybe this could have been narrowed down a little. I handed it in late, which ultimately may have hurt my chances of getting the job. I did enjoy the problem-solving aspect of the case study, however.

Question 1
Why StrategyCorp?
Why consulting?
Where do you see yourself in five years?
What's something that you can teach us?
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at StrategyCorp (Toronto, ON) in Sep 2021
Interview
So there were 3 parts to the interview process. There was an informal introduction, first interview with HR, and then a pre-employment test.
They had me write a strategic overview of an industry in the 3rd round. They just took my work and decided not to hire me. I’m furious and have learned my lesson. Never do pre-employment tests without compensation again.

Question 1
What can you tell us about StrategyCorp?
How do you manage tight deadlines?
How soon would you be willing to relocate to Toronto?
I’m sorry to hear you were frustrated by our hiring process. As we look to find people who are the best fit for the work we do, an important screening tool we use are case studies. They’re straightforward and hypothetical, and because of our need to maintain confidentiality, never relate to client work. Over the years we’ve found these to be a really valuable recruiting tool. It helps us see how people think through problems and allows us to compare candidates fairly. We’d be happy to give you some feedback on why we decided not to advance you further in the process. Feel free to reach out to me if you’d like to discuss it.
