I applied in-person. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Strasburg Children (Gulfport, MS) in Oct 2008
Interview
looked for appearance, experience, good communication skills, checked refrences, asked "moral questions" and so much more. I also checked their email to see what their email account was. If it wasnt professional, no call back.
I applied through other source. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Strasburg Children in Sep 2009
Interview
I responded to a job posting. I made a personal appearance with resume in hand. I was told to return later the same day for an interview. I was interviewed seperately by the manager and assistant manager. Employer explained job description comany policies and the like. I responded when a response was required. My previous employement was as a professional and I hold advanced degrees. I had been a stay at home for several years and had no interest in returning to my previous high stress career. Qualifications were not an issue.
What was really happening during the interview, was an "accessment". of me, my dress, manerisms, speech... Image is very important to Strasburg. Age is not important. They want an employee who is not intimidated by customers of high end childrens clothing. They want friendly, outgoing and confident. They expect upsale. If you are a sloppy dresser, do not "fix" your hair and have poor grammer do not apply.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Strasburg Children in Oct 2009
Interview
