Interview
The interview process for the graphic designer role at Stetson was professional and highly engaging from start to finish. I particularly enjoyed discussing how my Adobe Creative Suite experience and digital marketing background could support their athletic branding. The team made the technical portfolio review feel like a collaborative brainstorm rather than a standard interview. It was clear that Stetson values high quality production and strategic visual storytelling. Overall, the experience was a perfect introduction to a team that I was incredibly excited to join.

Question 1
How do you ensure that your creative designs stay consistent with the Stetson brand while still standing out to recruits on social media?
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Stetson University (Deland, FL) in Oct 2024
Interview
I have applied to Stetson numerous times without any success, but to my surprise, I finally got a response. I was thrilled to receive an email from the assistant director of graduate studies, inviting me for a virtual interview. She sent her virtual calendar and I could select which day/time I wanted.
I was thrown off from the beginning because she started the conversation by telling me how tired she was from interviewing all day, Which gave me the impression that she was checked out from the start.
She told me about herself, the program, and typical office protocols. She also asked me a couple of questions and allowed me to ask questions at the end of the interview.
I regret not scheduling a time earlier in the day, because maybe the vibe would have been better.
