I had the now displeasure of interviewing for this role, and despite taking the earliest opportunities to schedule conversations, was turned down because someone else was "further along the process."
After a positive conversation with the hiring manager, I was immediately assigned a detailed take-home project with a 72-hour turnaround — over a weekend, no less. I completed it as requested, putting in a significant amount of time and effort.
It then took over 10 days to hear back, only to be told they were “moving forward with a candidate who was already further along in the process.” Not by phone, by email. If that was the case, why assign a time-intensive project in the first place?
The lack of transparency around where I stood in the process and the poor respect for candidate time is disappointing. If you’re considering interviewing here, be prepared to invest hours of unpaid work with no guarantee your effort will even be reviewed seriously.
