I applied and received a phone screen from the department head a couple days later. She started in the interview without even asking if it was a good time. I mentioned that I was sick. She showed no concern for my condition and continued with the phone screen. (This is the first red flag I had.) For my part I did not ask to reschedule and that is on me.
The interview went well and she offered to bring me in for a 2-3 hour on site interview, Wednesday the following week, time to be determined. The day prior I had not received anything. I called and left a message stating that. I received a call Wednesday AM stating that I was slotted for an interview in 3 hours! We eventually connected over the phone. Supposedly a meeting invite was sent out. I never received it and stated as much per the follow up the day prior and asked to reschedule. She said I don't think so as there are other candidates. With this huge second red flag, I politely ended the call in absolute shock that someone at her level would behave like this.
If this is how Sportworks treats its candidates, I can only imagine how disrespectfully they treat their employees. This company screams toxic environment. Before working or applying here, read the reviews on Indeed and here. You will find that this review is not unique to what people experience at Sportworks. This is clearly not a good company to work for.
