I’m going through the hiring process at SpaceX. My background is clear except for I recently got a traffic violation in Florida. It’s a misdemeanor, but it flagged my background check and now I need HR approval for hire. It’s nothing violent and the ticket actually should be dismissed in court. Company policy is no felons or people with violent or sexual crimes. But I’m stressing I will be denied the job due to my background. I’ve never had an issue with my background before. They have already given me a verbal offer. I have gotten the VP approval as well. Just need HR approval for official offer. Any advice is greatly appreciated.
