Interview Process:
I applied for the Partnership Manager (Spain) position at Sovendus and went through their hiring process. My experience was frustrating due to a lack of clarity, professionalism, and engagement from their side.
- Rushed Interview with No Clear Answers – The interviewer seemed disinterested and rushed through the conversation. He couldn’t provide detailed insights into key aspects of the job, such as salary range, performance expectations, or team structure. It felt like he was there just to check a box.
- Lack of Transparency – Important aspects of the role were not properly explained. When I followed up with HR to clarify key responsibilities and salary expectations before proceeding further, I received a vague response, assuring me this would be discussed in later rounds—yet I was rejected before getting those answers.
- Poor Communication & Generic Rejection – After the interview, HR promised to follow up with feedback. Instead, I received a generic, impersonal rejection email stating that they had many applicants and chose other candidates, with no explanation on what was missing in my profile. It was clear they weren’t invested in giving candidates a respectful experience.
The Process:
- Disorganized & Unstructured Interviews – The interviewer was unprepared and couldn’t provide critical details about the role.
- Lack of Transparency – Key aspects like salary and role expectations were unclear throughout the process.
- Poor Candidate Experience – They failed to follow through on promises and sent an automated rejection without feedback.
Final Thoughts:
The hiring process at Sovendus felt like a waste of time. They weren’t clear about what they were looking for, and the interview gave the impression that they were either screening without a real hiring intent or unsure about the role themselves.
