Very behavioral based and laid back. Focused on personality more than technical ability which was reasonable given the position is for an internship. Overall a great experience not difficult or intimidating.
I applied online. I interviewed at SouthState (Winter Haven, FL) in Sep 2022
Interview
They asked questions anyone can get off the internet. It was not a good experience. It was a virtual interview and the interviewer never looked at me once because they were busy looking at other screens.
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at SouthState
Interview
Super unprofessional. Interviewer showed up 30 minutes late to scheduled first round interview, never let me know ahead of time that they were running behind, and when they finally came on screen, they were chewing. Interview went well and they offered me a second-round interview, we confirmed a date and time for that interview (this was in the middle of the first round int.). Never received a confirmation email of that scheduled interview, I reached out numerous times, saw my peers get offers, and still not a single reply back. I'm really not sure if they are a new recruiter or why this happened, but I got an email 3 months after that interview saying the position was filled. I am a college student who works full time and I made space for that interview, so for that interviewer to not let me know they were running late for an interview scheduled weeks in advance, and they show up chewing food... I don't know what to think honestly. Especially when I send numerous emails trying to get to the bottom of things, thinking my email slipped through, there is no way you don't see my email. Extremely disappointing.
