Longer time than expected. State position. Met with search committee and upon being directed for second interview soon found out it was too feel out salary requirements. Was not true second interview. Do your research. Salaries posted to public. Stack your chickens.

Interview
Applied online. Approximately 1.5 months after the application due date I got a call to come in for the interview. SCC wasn't flexible regarding the interview day, so I had to call in some favors to make it work. Interview committee consisted of the Dean, two other instructors and an HR person, although the HR rep just observed. Questions included ~ a dozen teaching related ?'s (describe what makes a successful student, talk about learning communities, etc), a few scenarios (what would you say to a student who failed the course and asked you for more time after the semester to finish their work) and a 20 minute teaching demo.
