I applied online. I interviewed at Sola in Jul 2020
Interview
Pretty straight-forward phone screening, mostly talked about my resume and relevant experience. The company seemed like a smaller start-up (a little disorganized). Sent a follow-up, but never heard back after the interview.
I had a phone call with HR and the Hiring Manager, it took 10 min. They asked me to do a project for them, which was related to a current product that no one has an idea about. I did the project for them. No feedback or response, and then I got rejection. I would assume they used a job posting for free labor to do their job.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Sola (Englewood, CO) in Jun 2020
Interview
The person I spoke with did not have much of a sense of humor, I tried to make jokes- no response. I can’t work w someone like that. The interview experience was erratic and disorganized. In a pandemic in this industry the goals and comp plan were completely unrealistic especially since businesses don’t have the budget to spend right now and most trade shows have cancelled for 2020. Had to turn down the position because I am looking for a long term position NOT a right now position and the goals offered me cant be done in a way that keeps business booming and relationships strong. I would’ve accepted a position as an Account Manager but never had the chance to discuss it. I was turned off by the entire experience.
