I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Slate & Bow (Tempe, AZ) in Sep 2017
Interview
After submitting a resume online and completing a phone interview I was scheduled for an interview at something very specific like 10:15. There were 6 other applicants scheduled for the same time. All of us were being asked one by one to go back and talk to like 3 different interviewers. EVERYONE was female. The receptionist, the employees and all the other applicants. I was under the impression that it was for a real marketing position, I have 17 years experience in web design and digital marketing. I have managed multi-million dollar products and I happen to be looking for a full time position. The girl who interviewed me could not have been more than 23. She kept asking me why someone who "knows how to do marketing" would need a job. She asked "If you really know how to do this, then why are you not generating all the money that you would ever need". I answered that my my wife had a health condition and I really needed a steady job. She kept being rude and asking the same thing in different ways as if I was lying to her. After 20 min of deposition style questioning she eventually admitted that the real position was sampling products at Costco. The pay was like $12 per hour and they are only pretending to be a marketing firm. They are really a temp agency for grocery stores. If you are a true professional, don't even bother stopping by.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
The position requires that you work weekends and holidays, is that something you are comfortable with?

Interview
INTERVIEWER BEWARE. They called me almost immediately after applying which was the first red flag. I had questions about the job and they skirted around the questions (clearly reading from a script) and I agreed to an interview. The interview took place in an "office" which actually seemed like an empty space that they don't use except for interviews. There were about 5 other people waiting for interviews and 3 more came our of interviews while I was waiting. They brought me in and asked me questions about leadership, what kind of role I am looking for and how much I would want to make. I tried asking more questions about the specific job and again I was ignored. They finally explained the job as a glorified costco salesperson. They create titles like "event Management Specialist" "Social Media Specialist" "Event Planner" or "PR Specialist" when you actually are doing nothing having to do with these titles. You are setting up and taking down booths at expos and making commission. I felt the interview was a complete waste of my time and that they are very misleading in their job description on their job posting. They called me for a "trial run" of setting up an event and not getting paid as part of the hiring process and I turned it down.
Interview questions [3]
Question 1
Are you comfortable making up to 60,000 right away?

Interview
There are three interviews and I dropped out after the first. I read the reviews here and went to the interview anyway and then Herb basically said all the lies confirmed on here. Their work is so vague you're not sure if you're working in marketing or a brothel. The salary is also very sketchy. I was told I would make 700$ a week but when I pressed, I was told I would make 12$ an hour. They are extremely vague and their website is based mostly on trapping people than telling others what they do. Their office setting basically had no furniture with pop music playing over the loud speaker. Everything felt off. What a waste of time.
