      QA Analyst Interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Slalom (Boston, MA) in Sep 2016

      Interview

Interview process started relatively informal, I got breakfast with a recruiter and QA Manager. Follow up was 2 Skype interviews, and final round was with 3 people in the Boston office. I got a good vibe from everyone I met. Most of the process was conversational. There was some surprise whiteboarding with one of the more technical people but the rest was pretty informal and non-technical. Was given a contingent offer, in the event that they got a client engagement. I was given an offer at another company, so they removed the contingency and I joined the company. Entire process took 2-3 weeks.

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Slalom

      Interview

Most pleasant interview process I have ever had -- from start to finish I was impressed with the employees and entire process. The whole process took about 1.5 months from start to finish. 1) I was contacted by a recruiter and set up a quick phone screen where she told me a little more about Slalom and their cross market team and asked a little about my background 2) Phone interview with the hiring manager -- it was more of a conversation than anything that flowed easily, I was able to learn more about the team and what they're looking for while discussing my background. The interview was over an hour and had to be cut eventually because it was just so easy to hold the conversation 3) There then was quite a delay in getting the interview team together but the recruiter was so fantastic, providing weekly email updates or even calling to explain their progress which gave me confidence this wasn't the team writing me off but rather slalom really having to get stuff ready on their end. 4) In person interview -- I had three interviews in the office with managers on the cross market team. The first was a technical interview, going over the details of my projects and technologies I've worked with. Next was behavioral which still did review some of my projects but mostly assessed how I would fit on the team and in a client facing role. Last interview was with the hiring manager and was mostly behavioral and starting to hash out specifics of what my work would be like at the company, onboarding etc. All 3 interviews were so pleasant, while occasionally challenging, and flowed like conversations. I was really impressed with the team and their willingness to get me excited about slalom.
