Skytap interview questions

The interview started with their recruiting firm to go through the vetting process before speaking with the rest of the company. Once that was cleared, it started with the person that would be my manager. From there I was tasked with creating a sample project. While I was developing that project showing how Skytap and Azure can be connected, I had 7 other interviews with multiple levels staffing. This included the CEO down to daily support staff. The interview process lasted almost 7 weeks. At the end, I presented my report and a demonstration going over the report. That was completed and got a 30 second phone call saying thanks but no thanks. Sent a followup email to see if there was something specific that changed their minds. Especially when everyone was saying it was a lock and salary and benefits were already being discussed. No response. Oddly, twice after this I was contacted by their recruiters saying I was a perfect fit. Had to tell them, that they have declined by hiring already. Wish I had used Glassdoor, would have saved a lot of time and expectations.

Over the course of 6 days, I had 3 interviews. First with recruiting, then one with hiring manager, and finally a more technical/cultural interview. All were fine experiences with welcoming people on the other end. They led me to feel like it was a sure fit, before telling me I'm simply not a fit. No further feedback as to why not, which is why I had a negative experience.
