I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Skip (Toronto, ON) in Nov 2025
Interview
Interview process is effective and engaging. 1-HT 2-Technical Manager about behavioral questions 3-90 minutes technical. The tech interview is very easy , 1st part is like code review and 2nd part is very basic code implementation.
Since I haven’t done set up for quite long time, I forgot the setup and some syntax structure.
Overall , it was very easy and practical technical interview.

Question 1
What is your expected salary?
How to approach if you encounter (this )?
The process itself was smooth and well-organized, but I wasn't fully prepared for the interview, which caused some stress. Unfortunately, just before the interview, I received an email stating that the client had already made their choice.

Interview
Terrible Experience,
She called me with google meets. It was expected to be 10 minutes HR call.
She explained very detailed and non-relevant things about skipTheDishes including their business partners and so on. After some minutes, I stopped listening.
Then, she asked some brief questions that made her believe I am not interested in Java Software positions. That was somehow true because my priority was mostly machine learning.
She asked some other simple questions like how much experience I have with Java and finally, very briefly told me about the next steps.
The next day, I received a rejection mail explaining they are looking for a candidate more relevant to the position.
